Archie started performing on the North West Club circuit as a singer, comedian and impressionist after leaving his band Kelly’s Heroes. He performed on this circuit for more than 15 years. At the same time, he was also working with bands and performing as a lead singer in Mecca dance halls like the Ritz in Manchester and the Grafton Rooms in Liverpool. He then formed the the duo Jack to Jack where he sang accompanied by guitar backing. This gave him a wealth of experience on stage as an all-round live entertainer.

Archie emerged onto the alternative comedy scene as Jackie ‘Mr Goodtime’ Valencio with his hilarious parodies and superb vocal impressions which he performed in the BBC Showcase which was compered by Peter Kay.  Archie quickly went on to become a headline act in most of the well-known clubs such as The Comedy Store in Manchester. He also supported Peter Kay in his Top of the Tower show. Peter then cast Archie as Kenny Senior in ‘That Peter Kay Thing’. Archie has since got a string of acting credits under his belt.

After this TV exposure, people began to recognise Archie so he dispensed with the Jackie Valencio costume and started doing Stand-Up as himself. He also did a successful national Stand-Up tour, Jumping on the Bandwagon, along with other members of the Phoenix Night’s cast.

He now does Stand-Up on the Comedy Circuit and combines comedy with his superb singing talent as a Corporate Entertainer. His comedy style is cheeky, inoffensive and highly interactive, which audiences love. His voice is enchanting and his singing repertoire is vast, covering artists such as Micheal Bublé, George Benson, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie among others.
